Biomedical Communications Alumni Association

UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO

Updated April 26, 2018:

We had a wonderful turn out at the UnCon this year, but we're still looking for a talented and dedicated alumni to fill the role of Social Media Manager.

If you're interested, please contact us at bmcaa.exec@gmail.com.

Looking to get more involved with your BMC alumni community?

We will be electing a new committee at the 12th Annual UnCon this November 3rd, 2018!

The BMCAA is run by yours truly, a team of fellow alumni, voted in every two years during every second Annual UnCon. It's been an honour and privilege to have served you all these past two years, but our tenure is coming to an end. It's time to usher in a new cast into the BMCAA Executive team. Here are some ways you can get involved!

More detailed descriptions of responsibilities for each role may be found here.

Co-Presidents (x2) / President

You’ll be a dynamic duo – the voices of the BMCAA to the alumni. You’ll lead the executive team to set and execute the vision and objectives for the association.

Events Coordinator

You’ll coordinate monthly BMCAA events, such as socials, workshops, and our annual UNCON and gala.

Social Media Manager

You’ll be our social media guru, keeping alumni informed of upcoming and live events via social media (including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram).

Webmaster

You’ll be the head of bmcaa.com, keeping alumni up-to-date and showing the world what the BMCAA does best.

News Editor You’ll be keeping an ear to the ground for any BMC, BMCAA, and industry related news, and you’ll be spreading it via our blog (with editorial help from your fellow execs).

Head Media Editor

You’ll be the manager of all BMCAA print media production. You’ll also oversee the production and design of the annual Yearbook (BMC art book) and manage the two Yearbook Layout Editors.

Yearbook Layout Editors (x2)

You’ll work with the Head Media Editor to design the yearbook spreads, and you’ll meet with BMC students to plan and collect yearbook material.

Secretary

You’ll ensure everything has a note or action item in our meetings, and manage our Google Drive.

Treasurer

You’ll manage the BMCAA financial accounts, and keep us on budget.

First-year Student Rep (Student Position)

Be the voice of your class so we can get students involved in BMCAA activities and stay connected. (We’ll also need you to manage our secret collection of BMCAA materials at UTM). You’ll continue your service in 2019 as the Second-year Student Rep.

More detailed descriptions of responsibilities for each role may be found here.

Elections take place: During the 12th Annual UNCON Sat, Nov 3rd 2018 at the General Meeting

We look forward to seeing you all there!
